The most fundamental thing is to select something as near the office area as possible so that attendees do not need to travel a long distance, especially if there will be alcohol. Those who plan to beverage may either take a taxi or have a mate or family member drop them off at the venue. Another option is to offer a coach for those who wish to make the most of it.

Do not overbook the venue. In other words do not select a location that is too large for the number of people who will be attending. You wish the corporate Christmas party to offer social interaction amongst the attendees, so select something that is big enough so people are not stepping on each other's toes but small enough to permit lots of socialising.

You also wish to make sure the Christmas party venue you select has the capability to manage whatever events you wish to plan for the corporate Christmas party for example dancing, music (band or dj), any events you may wish to play, prizes, buffet, table, tray or bar service.

Another contemplation in your choice of party venue is the venue's provisions for dress code and Christmas theming ideas. Keep in mind some venues have their individual dress codes that are in force all year no matter what the occasion. If you select a venue for example a hotel with a formal dress code you need to make sure your workers will be receptive to that. Although the females are not likely to mind dressing up in their finest many men are not as eager to dress up in a suit and tie just for a company Christmas party.

Another fundamental aspect of choosing your venue is the menu items from which you can select. You need to make allowances for those who may be allergic to certain types of fish (especially shellfish), so you may wish to avert, seafood restaurants since the smell sometimes triggers allergy symptoms for some. You also wish to make the potential Christmas party venue aware of these special circumstances so they do not design salads that include seafood or other things to which some people may be allergic.

The allowances you make for your corporate Christmas party will go a long way toward making your Christmas activity a success. Remove any constraints and do not let your workers think they should remain on guard in order to avert, any problems in the workplace the next work day. The officeChristmas party should have light and airy atmosphere with no sense of formality surrounding it. Whatever happens at the corporate Christmas party should be separate from that of the workplace.
