Watches are one of the most important accessories that any person can own. Our society runs on time, and it is very important to keep in touch with the hours and minutes of the day. Not only do people lead different lifestyles, but individuals perform a variety of different activities as well. Many people work during the day, go out for fun at night, and do sporting activities over the weekend. There are often special occasions in our lives as well. Each of these situations often require us to keep track of time, whether we are meeting people at a certain moment, or we need to get back home at a certain time. That is why it is important to have more than one watch.

The casual watch. It is essential to have a casual watch. When dressed in denim and a tee-shirt for a night at the bar with friends, it is appropriate to wear a casual style watch. These types of watches are usually less expensive, and can match with most casual clothing. Not only does it make it easy to keep time, it makes a nice accessory to an outfit without outshining the rest of the wardrobe. You should wear a casual style watch whenever you wear casual clothes.

The sports watch. If you are athletic and enjoy the rugged outdoors, you need a sports watch. A sports watch is appropriate for biking, hiking, running, and other similar sports. Many sports watches contain a stop watch feature that makes it convenient to track timed performance and set record breaking goals. If you enjoy water sports like water skiing, many brands offer waterproof watches so that you don't have to worry about ruining your watch. Sports watches tend to be made of more durable rubbers and plastic materials that can handle light impacts and keep internal parts protected when in contact with water.

The dress watch. When you go out for a nice evening to see a show at the theater or eat at a fancy restaurant, nothing accessorizes quite like a lovely dress watch. High class band designs and elegant watch faces add sparkle and shine to a beautiful dress or an expensive suit. A casual watch just won't do, here. Fancy dress watches come in a variety of styles, so with a little shopping, you can find the unique style that catches your eye and fits your taste. These watches come in gold, silver, diamonds and other stones and elegant materials that tend to be on the more expensive side. It is worth it to invest in a dress watch, because, since you won't wear it everyday, it can last a very long time.

Having more than one watch is like having more than one pair of shoes. Sneakers wouldn't look right with an evening gown, now would they? In the same way, a casual watch isn't appropriate for a tuxedo. Having more than one watch just makes perfect sense, doesn't it?
