The people who say that it's too late to start an Internet Business are the same people who wanted to start a pessimist club but were convinced that it would fail. It is actually one of the comments that I hear most often from skeptics. "It's too late to start an Internet
business? Along with hasn't it already been done?"
Sometimes you just want to say ya sure you are right. Everything has been done on the net and everyone has been approached and all markets are saturated so there is no way you will ever make money. Anyone and everyone with thoughts of starting an Internet business should just pack up, go home and forget it. Come back again after all the current netpreneurs have retired."
The truth however is that it's rarely, if ever, too late to start anything in life. Think about it. Has every song been sung? Have all the books been written? There are millions
of restaurants, clothing stores and gift shops in the world. Is it too late to open another?
If the internet were a baseball game we would currently be in the bottom of the first inning in the first game of a 161 game season. That's early folks, so there is more than enough room for not only you but for your neighbor, your sister, your cousin etc...etc..
Let's define affiliate program which is to me the best type of Internet Business: "An advertising program offering a monetary incentive for webmasters to drive traffic to the advertiser's website. This eliminates the necessity for the advertiser to find websites with related content to list their banners. It also increases the response rate by giving the "affiliate" websites a stake in the response rate. Affiliate programs are a great plan for the websites offering them, but the websites that participate often become underpaid sales representatives."
What you need to figure out is whether there is a market for your product. And where markets are concerned, there is no place like the Internet.
• The number of Internet users surpassed 1.08 billion in 2005 and will continue to grow
strongly in the next five years.
• By the end of 2010 the number of worldwide Internet users will double to 1.8 BILLION
people. That is one HUGE marketplace and it's getting bigger every day!
• Online sales amounted to 143 billion dollars in 2005.
Although 'most' people are still hesitant to give their credit card numbers online, as Internet shopping becomes commonplace, more and more people will be clicking 'Buy it Now!' buttons.
What does all this mean? It means that the reality is that anyone with a product that is marketable online should start an Internet business...today! You have a business that is opened 24 hours a day 365 days a year. No employees and oh ya a market of over 1 billion potential customers.
