However even with ISDN there are a range of options available that should be considered when making your choice between ISDN 2, ISDN 102030 or Multi Line Services. One thing that needs to be remembered is that ADSL or SHDSL Broadband services are not available on any ISDN phone lines and will require access via a dedicated or stand alone PSTN telephone line.

There is quite a bit of jargon associated with ISDN Phone lines with ISDN 2 know and Basic Rate or BRI. ISDN 10/20/030 is know is Primary Rate or PRI. ISDN 10 is also known as E1. You will need to have a basic understanding if these terms when talking to your PABX phone system provider as the each type of Service will require a different & specific network interface card on your PABX phone system. Most systems can be converted from PSTN to ISDN 2 but if converting PSTN to ISDN 10 or Multi Line services it is possible you will need a new PABX Phone system. It is possible to take PSTN Business Phone numbers to ISDN 2 or ISDN 10 standard but not possible to convert them to a DID range as this is a sequenced 100 number block (e.g 02 9419 1200-029419 1299) and these are allocated by the network.

Many customers ask us what ISDN phone line options are available. Fortunately there are a range of ISDN services available that can cater for almost any size business. There are also IDSN business telephone providers who are able to provide customers exactly what they need in the quantities they require. Primarily the choice of ISDN Types comes down to how many simultaneous calls you need to make allowing for both incoming and outgoing calls.

If you need 2-8 Lines then you go with ISDN 2 phone lines. If you need 10, 20 or 30 or more phone lines choose ISDN 10/20/30, if your business needs 11, 12, 13 or another number of phone lines (above 10), ISDN Multi Line is available, providing a wide range of available ISDN options.

In the past if you needed more than 10 lines business had to go with 20 or 30 ISDBN Channels. With the new ISDM Multi Line services, this means your business can choose exactly the number of lines they need without paying for lines they do not need. This allows smaller organisations to remain within their budgets while still having a quality multi-line IDSN telephone service, both essential components to remain profitable in today's competitive world.

Smaller organisations are also looking for a way to combine all their telephone needs into one bill with one IDSN business telephone provider. You will find it easy to pay one bill including your mobile bill when your multi-line IDSN provider offers all the services you need. One central location for all your services makes it easier to track your companies spending thus making it easier to identify any budget overruns for an individual department on a specific date. Having everything related to communications on one bill and an Account Manager available to assist also makes it easier for the organisations accounting department when it is time to process payments for the month.
