Everyone has heard of skiing and millions of people from all over the world are into this sport. It is even said to have a history that goes back millennia. Mountain resorts are plenty and there are probably very few countries around the world where you cannot practice this sport. There are even numerous countries that have indoor slopes so that people can enjoy their favorite sport any day of the year in perfect temperature and snow conditions. However, neither indoor slopes nor regular resorts are able to keep us happy forever, simply because with the passage of time we acquire experience and skill and it becomes really hard to make the most out of our skills on a slope that is also suitable for complete novices. Whenever they feel ready to move on to the next level is the time when most people learn about BC cat skiing. There aren’t too many notable differences between these two variations and I guess you can view BC cat skiing as an evolution from the traditional sport.

We can compare this evolution to skydiving where in the beginning you always fly in tandem with an instructor and only after you have acquired enough experience you can jump out of a plane alone. It is the exact same thing with BC cat skiing. Only after you manage to gather enough experience on the regular slopes that are available in hundreds of mountain resorts located all over the world will you be ready for BC cat skiing. Also called powder skiing, this sport makes use of a variety of technologically advanced vehicles. The best known and most expensive at the same time is the helicopter but the reality is that most people cannot afford to pay for an entire week and this is when they turn to the most viable alternative which is snowcat skiing. Whether you are passionate about snowcat skiing or snowcat boarding you will make your ascent up the mountain in a rapid and comfortable snowcat which can accommodate large groups easily so you don’t need to worry about having to split your group when going up the mountain.

The prices are obviously considerably lower than those required for helicopter ascends but this does not mean that you will be missing the sceneries or that you will have to sacrifice comfort in any way. The numerous advances made to these vehicles mean that a snowcat skiing or snowcat boarding ride up the mountain will not be less comfortable than a ride in a latest generation SUV out in the back country. Apart from the obligatory safety precautions meant to keep everyone safe there are basically no rules. You can plot your snowcat boarding or snowcat skiing route as you make your descend on a mountain covered with fresh snow that is completely immaculate. Finding a company that specializes in snowcat boarding and snowcat skiing services is really not a hard thing as this sport has become a fully blown phenomenon all around the world and if you don’t have anyone to refer you to a specific provider then the internet is the best place to start looking.
