There are over 15 billion website and that number is growing by millions each day. The internet user has access to a virtually unlimited supply of information. They simply will not stay at you site if you do not capture there attention instantly.
Therefore, it is critical your site loads without delay. In order to accomplish this, either you or your designer must have a comprehensive understanding of what eats up bandwidth and slows down a site.
An example of this would be photographs or graphics placed on your site saved with too high of a resolution. Another example would be excess use of graphic, photographs or videos.

Let me ask you a question, what are you doing to grab a viewer’s attention as soon as they enter your site?
These visitors will not read everything on a site, but rather are scanning for something of interest to them. They are looking for a solution to a problem or something of entertainment value.
Whatever type of site you have it is of the utmost importance that you emphasize your most important feature immediately. This can be accomplished with any of the following; eye catching headlines, high quality graphics, photographs, free offers, videos that load as soon as somebody enters the site or audio that loads in the same manner.
Fact # 3 – Easy Navigation of the Site
After a visitor decides to stay at a site for a few moments they are then looking over the site to determine what it has to offer. Keeping this in mind, they must be able to move around it easily.
It is always a good idea to put a search feature on your site if it is particularly large. However, you must also provide a simple navigation structure for the viewers that are less computer savvy.
Fact # 4 – What are you Promoting?
If you have a large site with multiple products or lines of products make sure that your home page or the first page provides access to each specific section of your site.
However, if you are only marketing one item, then the home page must fully stress that item and ensure it is entered into the memory banks of the visitor.
Fact # 5 – Most Visitors do not make a Purchase on the First Visit
Sorry to provide you the bad news. With very few exceptions, will an individual actually buy a product from your site on there first visit. The general public’s internet trust has grown by leap and bounds in the last twenty years, but unfortunately there is still a great deal of skepticism on there part.
Therefore, it is imperative you find a means to ensure they return to your site. This can be done with a free offer, a discount that will start a few days in the future, or a promotion to capture there email address that will enable you to stay in contact with them and build a relationship over time.
Whatever means or combinations of techniques you choose to employ to accomplish this goal you can be sure that the long term key to your success will only be confirmed when you have a large number of repeat visitors.
