The beautiful country of Barbados offers so much from the pinkish sandy beaches to the deep dark blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. The tropical country also boasts of natural beauty like the vast wildlife and plant life inhabiting the island. Tourists can also enjoy the country’s festive music and scrumptious food. Last, but definitely not the least, the country is also known as “Little England” is famous for its duty free shopping district. So if you are looking for fine clothes, jewelries and accessories book already for a flight and apartment hotel, Barbados is an excellent shopping spot for bulk buyers.

There are many places where you can spend your much earned cash in the tropical country. You can buy goods at the country’s capital, Bridgetown, or in the West Coast or South Coast of the island. Upon arriving in the country, you can already start shopping. The airport has a duty free center where you can start purchasing goods. Keep in mind that you will need to present your passport and details of your temporary address in the country to qualify for duty free prices. Remember that tobaccos and alcohols bought outside the airport and port will not be handed over the counter but instead will be delivered to the port of departure. You can collect it there when you leave the island.

Now, let’s get ready to shop till you drop. First thing’s first, bring more than one credit card with you just in case you ran out of cash so paying will not be a hassle. Rent a large vehicle or SUV if you are bulk buying. I suggest renting the Suzuki Jimny rather the Toyota RAV4 since the Suzuki is more affordable. Saving cash on transportation can be added to your shopping budget. Also, choose a hotel near the shopping area you are planning to go to; in this way, you can save time from traveling and have more time looking for the best goods.

Board Street in the country’s capital Bridgetown is the best place to shop for designer clothes and jewelries at discounted prices. You can find ornaments, fine figurines and crystals at sale price in shops like: The Royal Shop, Cave Shepherd or Little Switzerland. If you are looking for fine jewelries for your anniversary, birthday or wedding, there are branches of Colombian Emeralds and Diamonds International on Board Street. If you happen to be on the South Coast of the island, you can try visiting the Sheraton Centre where you can find designer clothes at low prices. If you are a surfer looking for surfing gear, the Lazy Days shop in the centre can provide you with all the surfing gear and accessories you need. Pure Source located at the West Coast of the country offers also designer clothes, if you are looking for exquisite beauty products this is where you should head to. They have beauty products coming from Paris and many of their items are quite scarce in US and London.

There is a lot of high quality merchandise with duty-free price at “Little England.” If you are looking for a good shopping spot, book for a trip and an apartment hotel, Barbados will surely have everything you need.
